what is NFC technology?

NFC stands for Near Field Communication. This wireless technology allows data exchange instantly between 2 devices at a short distance (0 to 15cm), and without pairing, eg. Bluetooth.

Among its outstanding uses are contactless payments by simply bringing the cell phone close to the reader, the opening of a hotel room, and the transfer of data between two phones.

The MY-CARD system takes advantage of this technology to transfer data from your digital profile to the phone of your customers or prospects. Your information is completely secure since NFC technology does not extract information from the other phone, but only shares what you choose.

1. What does the MY-CARD system consist of?

The MY CARD system consists of 2 parts:

a) A plastic NFC card (like a Credit Card). The card has a printed personalized design that includes your logo, name, phone number, and QR Code.

b) A Personal or Business Digital Profile made for each client with the design and functionality required. It can be viewed on any electronic device by means of data transfer via the NFC card, a personalized link, or a QR Code.

Digital profiles can include text, images, video, link buttons, forms, lists, testimonials, PayPal integration, ability to manage appointments, etc.

2. Who can benefit from the MY-CARD system?

Businesses and individuals such as real estate agents, clothing stores, craft stores, etc. that require displaying their products.
Businesses that rely on an active social media presence, testimonials, recommendations, and social evidence, such as restaurants.
Businesses that need to display additional information such as a menu, product catalog, contract, location on Google Maps, etc.
Lawyers, doctors, dentists, nutritionists, chiropractors, hair stylists, therapists, etc. that need to generate appointments for their clients.
Companies with multiple employees (usually in sales) that they can all use the same digital profile of the business. Or, each employee can have their own card with their own contact information, but uses the standardized company design.

3. Can NFC technology locate lost items?

NFC chips don't show or share location - they don't have that functionality. However, you can place a chip in/on what you want to identify. If you lose it, you can then prove it's yours by scanning the information.

For example, you can put an NFC chip on your pet's collar - if someone scans it, they'll be able to see your contact information and send you a message.

4. Do you need to download an app?

No. Neither the person who shares their digital profile, or the person who receives it on their phone by means of the the NFC card needs to download any sort of app. You just need to have the NFC function on your phone, (most newer phones have this function activated automatically).

If the profile is being shared by means of the personalized link or the QR code, then nothing extra is needed.

5. Will the MY-CARD system work on all phones?

The transfer of the digital profiles by means of the NFC Card is compatible with almost all modern cell phones.

In case the NFC chip does not work on the receiving phone, the profile can be shared by the QR Code (included as an image, and printed on the plastic card), or by the personalized link via WhatsApp, FB Messenger, or e-mail.

6. How do you share your digital profile?

The NFC Cards are made of plastic (just like a Credit Card), and contain an NFC chip that shares your information wirelessly with other phones.

By bringing the NFC chip close to the receiving phone, a notification will appear on their screen. Clicking on it will open your digital profile, or it will trigger some action, such as showing a map, going to another site, opening a form, starting a WhatsApp conversation, etc.

The person with the receiving phone does not need to download any app to view the information, or interact with the shared content.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT BOTH PHONES MUST BE UNLOCKED, AND THE NFC SETTINGS MUST BE TURNED ON TO SHARE THE PROFILE, (check this setting found under "Connections" if it does not read the data automatically).

7. Can the Digital Profiles be modified?

Yes, of course. Your digital profile can be modified in real-time. The cost of the MY-CARD system includes a reasonable amount of modifications during its validity, (changes every 1 or 2 weeks are not a reasonable amount, and may generate an additional cost). Modifications will be made within 48 hrs, (usually within 24 hrs).

The design of the NFC Card cannot be modified if it has already been sent to the customer. If an NFC Card needs to be changed or replaced, a new one will have to be purchased.

Obviously, any error on the part of the MY-CARD team will be corrected at no cost to the customer.

8. Is my information safe?

The MY-CARD system is completely secure, since NFC technology does not extract information from the other phone, but only shares with others the information that you include in your digital profile.

No personal or financial information of any kind is stored in a profile; only the information that the client wants to share, which is the type that is normally shared on any business card, flyer, or website.

9. How long do I have to wait for my MY-CARD

From the moment that the payment, and the reception of the content, (including the digital assets, such as the logo, videos, images, links, etc.) has been confirmed, the time to create a MY CARD system is 1 to 3 days, and a further 2 to 4 days for shipping the NFC Card by courier.

The total waiting time is between 3 and 7 days.

10. Do you offer a guarantee?

The MY-CARD system comes with a 14-day satisfaction guarantee.

During the design and elaboration phase, all the modifications that the client requires will be done. Once the NFC Card has been sent, modifications to the design can no longer be made.

* 1 nfc card

Your NFC Card has an integrated chip with NFC technology. Your card will have a personalized design that includes your name, contact information, your photo or logo, and a QR Code. Includes shipping by courier.

* a personal or business digital profile

A personal digital profile works like a regular business card, and the business profile works like a flyer for your business that can be shared via the NFC Card, QR Code, or personalized URL link; which can be viewed on a phone, tablet, or computer.

Both profiles include a custom design with the colors, font, and image of your business, and with the functionality elements you want to include (see above).

*changes and updates during its validity

Customers may request a “reasonable” amount of changes to the content, or design of their digital profile during its validity. Changes every two weeks are not a reasonable amount and will cost extra.

* validity of 6 months (renewable)

The card will be activated for 6 months (180 days), from the date of delivery . The system can be renewed every 6 months at a reduced price.
